Very exciting news this week...members and friends of The Los Gatos Social Club actually have TWO dinner venues to choose from this Wednesday evening.
First, you can immediately make your reservations for Puerto Vallarta and join Dennise & me for the official Mexican gathering of the Social Club; or you can head over to Pam & Tim Murphy's home for cocktails @6:30 followed by dinner an hour or so later at Gardino's.
Your choice...but either way you'll have a good time...and don't forget to bring wine.
If Pam & Tim's address sounds familiar, it's because it is right across the street from the DiNapoli mansion - site of Los Gatos' most fun Super Bowl Party ever a month ago. It is also a couple of doors down from Mayor Spector and First Man (& Earl of Edelen) Ira's beautiful home. But, it is also in a godawful parking district where you are virtually guaranteed a ticket unless you do one of two things. One, park in the Secretary of Skate's private parking lot down at the bottom of Miles Avenue. You'll remember that as the site of the ill-fated skateboard park. We have no reason to believe that those disgruntled vandals will know you're there, so your vehicle should be safe from vandalization. Your second alternative is to park in front or in back of Gardino's and get some much needed exercise by walking over to Pam and Tim's home.
Have a great time. The Murphy's are wonderful hosts. Remember their newly installed pool was designed for summer swimming, plus there are no bathing suits allowed in Gardino's.
Now for the week after --- March 5th. We will be returning that day, but too late to host cocktails.
Sooo...Mary MacDonald, our Maharani of Massol will be hosting cocktails, undoubtedly assisted by Kathy Linton, our Ambassador to The Willows, in her lovely home.
Two fun Wednesday evenings, two beautiful Historic District homes to enjoy...it just doesn't get any better!
Best regards,
Peter
PS: Joke of the Week (told originally, I believe, in Ohio where they take this outsourcing threat seriously by one of the two remaining Democrat candidates for President)
Has Outsourcing Gone Too Far ?
I was depressed last night so I called Lifeline.
Got a call center in Pakistan.
I told them I was suicidal.
They got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck.
